MY STORY

I'm a lifestyle and wedding photographer based in Helsinki, Finland. But more often than not, you'll find me wandering the various corners of this amazing planet we call home. Like in the shots above - that's me in the Himalayan foothills enjoying life.

I grew up in my birthplace of London (arguably the best city in the world), interspersed with summer and winter holidays in my mother's homeland, Finland (arguably the best place to spend summer - I’m still undecided on the long, dark winters, though!). 

I’m not one of those “I’ve been photographing since I was a kid” types of people. I loved to sketch and paint well into my teens, but this creative energy died away with the realities of early adult life: having to pay rent, buy food...I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about. I worked a few different jobs when I graduated, all leaving me thinking:

So, on my 25th birthday, with a strong feeling of now or never, I made a decision to change my life and to set alight once more my creative spark. Within three months, I’d quit my job and taken my camera to start travelling the world. If, ten years ago, you would have told me that I’d have my work shown in exhibitions and be taking pictures for a living, I’d have squealed/cried/vomited/fainted with excitement. And, here we are.

I have an MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography from the University of the Arts London, and I've now photographed professionally almost a decade, for both individuals wishing to capture small moments and large companies wanting to tell big stories. I've shot and filmed documentary work across Asia, although my speciality is the Himalayan regions. My work has been featured in various magazine and websites, and even on the BBC (total humblebrag). But, the main thing you need to know is that I love to capture those special, fleeting moments of joy and happiness, to create memories that last a lifetime.
